Industrial AI as a “Performance Amplifier”
Schneider Electric positioned industrial AI as a tool to enhance both efficiency and sustainability, integrating AI deeply into electrification, automation, and digital-physical systems across engineering, operations, and energy management. The company aims to help industrial enterprises convert transformation challenges into competitive advantages, optimizing efficiency, safety, sustainability, and costs.

A key highlight was the application of Agentic AI in automation engineering. Leveraging the EcoStruxure open automation platform (EAE) and Microsoft Azure AI, Schneider Electric demonstrated the Industrial Copilot, an AI assistant capable of:

  • Generating control code and optimizing logic via natural language interactions

  • Answering project-specific technical questions

  • Facilitating end-to-end process traceability and real-time adaptive adjustments

According to the company, some production line adjustments can now be shortened from weeks to hours, reducing engineering cycles by up to 50%.

Extending AI Across Operations and Workforce Enablement
Beyond engineering efficiency, industrial AI was showcased in safety operations, workforce enablement, and energy management:

  • Safety Operations: AI combined with digital twins maps equipment, forecasts risks, and simulates operations to minimize high-risk human intervention.

  • Workforce Enablement: AI is designed to assist rather than replace employees, while zero-code/low-code tools lower the adoption barrier.

  • Predictive Maintenance and Energy Efficiency: AI-driven monitoring and analytics shift maintenance from reactive to predictive, enhancing efficiency and resilience in data centers, buildings, and power systems.

Product Ecosystem and Partnerships
The exhibition also featured a range of solutions integrating software-defined automation, digital twins, edge computing, and cloud collaboration, including:

  • Foxboro SDA software-defined automation system

  • Modicon M590 dPAC smart controllers

  • SCADAPack 470d/474d

  • EcoStruxure Foresight

Schneider Electric showcased collaborations with Microsoft, Dell, Huawei, and AWS, demonstrating infrastructure and application pathways for industrial AI. Customer case studies highlighted applications such as:

  • Electrification upgrades through unified power and process architecture

  • Green hydrogen plant automation

  • Efficiency improvements in water and chemical industries

China as a Strategic Innovation Hub
The company emphasized China’s role in its global innovation network. Schneider Electric continues to localize global technologies in China, while sharing Chinese experiences in applications, engineering practices, and innovation efficiency back to its global operations, embodying the “In China, For China, For the World” strategy.
