Creating Higher-Quality Products for Customers

Lin noted that the China Glass Exhibition is one of the most influential global events in the glass industry, bringing together leading enterprises and research institutions across the value chain. It provides Honeywell with an important platform to deepen partnerships and explore broader collaboration opportunities.

Amid rapid technological innovation, Honeywell remains committed to empowering industrial practices through advanced technologies—continuously improving efficiency and product quality while responding more precisely to evolving market demands.

Jin introduced that Honeywell’s Thermal Solutions business showcased a comprehensive portfolio of combustion and control products widely used in the glass industry. These solutions cover critical processes such as furnace combustion control, offering a full range of high-efficiency, low-emission equipment designed to enhance productivity, ensure stable operations, and meet increasingly stringent energy and environmental standards.

For example, to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, Honeywell presented several advanced burners designed for high-temperature glass furnace applications, including Eclipse® PrimeFire (PF) oxy-fuel burners, Maxon® OXY-THERM® LE (OTLE) series, and Eclipse® BrightFire 200 burners. These products combine high flame luminosity, excellent radiant heat transfer, and ultra-low NOx emissions—helping customers improve fuel efficiency while enhancing glass quality. For other furnace applications, Eclipse® FEF burners are specifically designed for forehearth heating, ensuring both safety compliance and stable, efficient operation.

In terms of system safety, Honeywell also showcased a range of fuel delivery and control components, including Maxon® safety shut-off valves, SmartLink® DS actuators, and Kromschröder® pressure switches and dual solenoid valves. These solutions provide precise and reliable fuel control, ensuring comprehensive safety for combustion systems.

Rapid Response to Local Customer Needs

Lin emphasized that Honeywell is committed to addressing challenges such as high energy consumption and emissions across a wide range of industries, including glass, steel, chemicals, automotive, textiles, and food processing. The company aims to meet global demand for cleaner, more precise, and more efficient heat transfer solutions while supporting sustainable development.

With established R&D and manufacturing bases in China, Honeywell leverages strong local engineering and technical teams to respond quickly to customer needs—delivering integrated solutions ranging from system integration to customized development.

For instance, through long-term partnerships with leading glass manufacturers, Honeywell has helped improve production stability by conducting on-site diagnostics, identifying root causes, and developing tailored solutions. Leveraging its domestic R&D and manufacturing capabilities, the company also develops customized products to enhance safety, stability, cost efficiency, and product quality.

In the chemical sector, Honeywell has collaborated with Sinopec and Binhua Group to advance smart factory initiatives by deeply integrating combustion control systems with process operations. Meanwhile, the company has made significant progress in hydrogen combustion technologies, having validated 17 burner series capable of burning pure hydrogen and nearly 100 models supporting hydrogen blending—providing key technical support for future hydrogen energy adoption in the chemical industry.

Additionally, leveraging its global footprint and experience across multiple markets, Honeywell supports partners with reliable technologies and resources while helping them better understand overseas demand and expand into international markets.

Supporting Low-Carbon Transformation in Industry

Lin highlighted that Honeywell, with more than 90 years of presence in China, continues to advance its “In China, For China” strategy—delivering localized R&D and production to provide leading low-carbon and intelligent solutions for industrial customers, including the glass sector.

Notably, Honeywell has integrated multiple brands such as Maxon and Kromschröder, bringing together centuries of industry expertise. Combined with deep insights into the local market, this enables the company to precisely address the diverse needs of different industries—supported by both strong technological capabilities and robust local resources.

As a long-term advocate of sustainability, more than 60% of Honeywell’s new product R&D investments are sustainability-oriented. Its Thermal Solutions business is closely aligned with low-carbon development goals, helping customers comply with national policies while improving efficiency.

Lin stressed that Honeywell’s localization strategy goes beyond simply introducing global products into China. Instead, it is driven by local R&D, supported by local manufacturing, and reinforced by global technological expertise—providing full lifecycle solutions from safety compliance to performance optimization.

Looking Ahead

Lin concluded that Honeywell will continue to strengthen its presence in key advanced manufacturing sectors, particularly in areas where it holds technological advantages, such as new energy vehicles, energy storage, high-end manufacturing, and marine industries.

By continuously developing products and technologies tailored to Chinese customers, the company aims to reinforce its long-term commitment to China—leveraging global experience and local innovation to work with partners in driving industrial upgrading and achieving high-quality, low-carbon, efficient, safe, and sustainable development.
